A A two-person exhibition featuring sculptures by Derrick Woodham and paintings by McCrystle Wood.

The artists wanted an image that spoke to the essence of their work—walk-through-and-about three-dimensional assemblages and large color-field paintings—rather than one portraying any specific works included in the show.

Designed as a multipurpose piece, some posters were scored and folded for mailing. A 12" × 6" mailer was created by printing on both sides, horizontally scoring the poster, and folding it into thirds.

A side note: As a point of interest to young designers, the green color was achieved by printing transparent yellow ink over opaque black ink. In addition to producing the green, this process caused the bottom tips of the vertical lines separating the letters to become yellow by overprinting the ends of these thin white lines.

What appears to be three-color printing actually uses only two inks. Beyond being an aesthetic choice, this was also a cost-saving method, reducing both the number of inks required and the number of passes through the press.
