Kinvernon Associates, business consultants specializing in human resources development and strategic planning, worked with business owners and managers to help companies improve operations, production, and growth.

Limiting the color palette to values of gray was based on the client’s primary concern that the booklet appear business-like—a straightforward, no-frills approach.

A side note: As a point of interest to young designers, the entire booklet is made up of dark and light gray cover-weight papers. Opaque, light-toned ink is printed on the dark paper, while standard, dark-toned transparent ink is printed on the light paper. When printing light opaque ink on dark paper, the sheet is run through the press twice, allowing it to dry between passes, to create denser, more even ink coverage.
